High School Small GroupsOn Sunday Evenings at St. Francis Xavier from 6:00pm - 7:30pm, we will be offering High School Small Groups for any high school student in our Parish. Our goal for these nights is to help foster friendships with their peers and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We will gather together for dinner and break into small groups for formation and discussion. We will end the night together with prayer.High School Small Group Schedule

Bernie's LunchAll high school students from the Holy Cross Parish are invited for a free lunch every 2nd Thursday of the month at St. Bernard throughout the school year. This is intended for Middleton High School students with the location being so close. Bernie's Breakfast
Most Tuesdays throughout the school year all High School students are invited to the 7:15am Mass at St. Bernard followed by a simple breakfast. This is an opportunity to go to Mass together and spend some time in fellowship.

Love Begins Here 2025 - REGISTRATION CLOSEDRegistration for Love Begins Here is CLOSED!Each summer our parish takes a group of teens on these wonderful local mission trips. Love Begins Here (LBH) is a local mission trip where we travel to a parish in our Diocese and serve that community. I invite you to sign up this year!

If you are unable to attend these weeks we've been assigned, there is a Lost Sheep option for the most of the other weeks. You can find a list of the other weeks on the LBH website.
*A current 8th grader would register for the Middle School week even though they will be in High School next year.Cost

We serve for many organizations and the parishioners. Some of the type of work we do is painting, cleaning windows, organizing things, yard work, weeding, etc.What is A Car Group
At the beginning of the week each missionary is assigned a car group. These are hand selected by the LBH Core Team. They tend to make car groups based on grade. You usually aren't with someone from your same parish. All the Lead Missionaries will be assigned 3-4 Teen Missionaries to serve along and drive to the worksites. You have the same car group the whole week. I've seen many friendships form over the years from these car groups.Where do We Sleep
LBH is an overnight mission trip. We sleep on the floors of the schools. Typically you would bring a blowup mattress or cot to sleep on.Where do We Shower
We typically shower at the local pool each day. At the end of each work day we head to the pool for some fun pool time and then use their showers to clean up.What do We Eat
Each day we have a quick breakfast of cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels and sometimes some other food. We pack our lunch each day to bring with us to the worksite. For dinner, we eat all together back at the parish we're staying at. A group is assigned to cook dinner each night. -
Steubenville Joliet
Steubenville is a weekend Youth Conference for High School teens in the summer held at various sites across the country. Roughly 50,000 teens attend these conferences each year, with about 2000 at each site. We spend the weekend hearing great talks from nationally and internationally acclaimed speakers, spend time in prayer growing in relationship with the Lord, and growing in community and friendship with one another.
Registration is CLOSED!
Location: Benedictine University, Lisle, IL
Cost: $310 + Lodging and Travel
Travel: We will be traveling by car. This will cut the cost way down.
Lodging: We will stay in a hotel near by.
Fundraising: We will do some fundraising efforts this spring. Our first fundraiser will be at one of the St. Peter Fish Frys. If we need to, we'll do one more fundraiser.
